Itinerary

Day 1- The Andes Getaway & Hidden Wonders

Your adventure begins in Quito as we cross the magnificent eastern Andes, witnessing the transformation from cloud forest to the lush Amazon basin; we immediately immerse ourselves in nature with a visit to the breathtaking 80-meter Magic Waterfall, followed by an unforgettable afternoon full of adventure visiting the Grotto of the Tayos, home to the Tayos’ namesake also known as oilbirds.

Day 2 – The Crystal Waterfalls, Kichwa Community & Paikawe Lagoon

Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and dive straight into the refreshing, crystal-clear pools of the Waskayaku Waterfall for an invigorating morning swim; the afternoon is dedicated to culture, as we travel by motorized canoe from the picturesque Misahualli port to an authentic Kichwa Community to share their customs; we conclude the day with a spectacular sunset river cruise on Paikawe Lagoon, searching for the elusive giant Paiche fish.

Day 3 – Conquer The Grand Canyon of Cotundo

Prepare for an exclusive adventure as we explore the geological masterpiece: the Grand Canyon of Cotundo; spend the morning hiking its dramatic, eroded cliffs and marveling at the unique rock formations carved by the river over millennia—a photographer’s dream and a true off-the-beaten-path experience—leaving the afternoon free to relax or explore the local town after this thrilling expedition. At the evening enjoy a cultural energetic immersion at «El Churo» a sacred place for Amazonian kichwa communities.

Day 4 – Exploration Jumandy Caves & Blue Lagoon

tart your final day enjoying the natural springs of Laguna Azul (Blue Lagoon), where the Guaysayaku River offers perfect swimming holes and evidence of the region’s volcanic history; our grand finale is an exhilarating deep-dive into the legendary Jumandy Caverns, exploring its intricate speleological formations and learning about its Amazonian legends, after this we begin our comfortable journey back, arriving in Quito at the evening.
